S J Suryah sans make-up

Having vowed to follow vegetarian ideas by saying "I will play the roles that women would like. There won't be any sexy dialogues," S J Suryah is a changed man in make-up matters too. He is acting in the film 'Newtonin Moonram Vidhi' directed by Sai Muthu Selva. The story is that of the hero who challenges a millionaire villain that he would make him a pauper in 24 hours.

As the choice of heroine is yet to be finalized, shooting is happening in a fast pace for the shots related to S J Suryah only. A chasing sequence is being shot in Anna Nagar for the past few days.A sequence of S J Suryah being chased by the henchmen of the villain Rajkrishna was filmed in a street with high density traffic. As cars were racing suddenly, people ran helter skelter. They became normal only after learning that it was a film shooting.

As Suryah's role is a rough character, he is acting without any make-up. He has decided to act like that in the full movie other than the song sequences.

Controversy over 'Kurivi' kuthupattu

A controversy is raised over insulting a national figure in 'Kuruvi' kuthupattu.

Kuruvi' is a Vijay starrer in Dharani's direction. Recently the songs of the film were released. There are some lines in the lyrics by Pa. Vijay in the song 'Mozhu mozhunnu yamma yamma...' composed by Vidyasagar that names Thillayadi Valliyamma.

'Thillayadi Valliyamma
Dillirundha nilladiamma
Thillalangadi aaduvoma
Thiruttuthanam pannuvoma
Kuthamma aatha kuthamma...'
These are the lines that have created the controversy. Some Tamil Sangams have protested that these lines insult Thillayadi Valliyammai who taught Tamil to Mahatma Gandhi.

The Tamil protagonists have demanded the removal of this song from the album, otherwise they will go to court.

It is well known that Sivakumar and family have adopted two schools, of which one is in Kancheepuram, under the education trust created by the family. This trust is also engaged in promoting several educational activities. And when the Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thangam Thennarasu, put forth a suggestion to the actor to produce a documentary Moreover, the actor’s son, a popular film star in his own right – Surya – along with other well-known actors Vijay and Madhavan have been signed up for the film. Earlier, director K.V. Anand was reported to wield the megaphone but now the mantle has shifted to V. Priya. However, Anand has been retained as the cinematographer.

Another important person to join this galaxy of stars is Jyothika. It is worth mentioning here that this star couple – Surya and Jyothika – had earlier acted in a documentary on autism.

Robot finds a place in Sarkar Raj launch

He was in Miami shooting for Dostana, it was their wedding anniversary and she flew down to be with him on the special day. Ram Gopal Verma wanted to unveil the first look of Sarkar Raj to the media. He invited Amitabh Bachchan but sorely missed the presence of the star couple, the main attraction of the movie. Brainwave: you set up a video conference live from Miami and you have the most inventive movie launch of recent times. Of course, technology has been put to use many times before in many different ways to promote movies but this is certainly a first.

The media was obviously thrilled. After all getting to chat with the anniversary couple about many things is not commonplace. They did not waste the opportunity, packing in everything that they could in the limited time given to them. Aishwarya, as you might have guessed had to do most of the answering with many questions about Robot finding a place in the launch of Sarkar Raj.

It was a good way to start the promotional activities of a movie that carries Ram Gopal Verma’s reputation with it. It’s going to be make or break for the maverick film maker. Sarkar Raj is set for a June 6 release.

Shruthi Kamal’s film not shelved”, Maddy explains

After the lukewarm response received at the box office for Evano Oruvan, Madhavan has moved on to finish his next project with Nishikant Kamat in Hindi titled Mumbai Meri Jaan which will be released in June. Reacting to an allegation that his Tamil film with Shruthi Haasan has been shelved, Maddy says, “As Mumbai Meri Jaan had to be wrapped up, my film with Shruthi is being postponed temporarily. There is no truth in the news that the film has been dropped. We will be starting work soon”.

On his other projects, Maddy states that Yaavarum Nalam with Neetu Chandra is complete and will hit the screens in August in Tamil and Hindi. After this he will feature in a film which will be directed by Selva of Naan Avanillai fame which has been inspired from the Shah Rukh Khan’s Yes Boss but is not a remake.
