K.S. Ravikumar’s plans for Rajini’s Jaggubhai!

With Sarathkumar joining hands with K.S. Ravikumar, rumors on Jaggubhai – supposed to be made with Rajinikanth – are resurfacing again. However, Sarathkumar plays his cards safe and quickly clarifies that he has no clue on whether his project with KSR will dust and use the script of Jaggubhai. His Vaitheeswaran is releasing this weekend, where Meghna Naidu is paired opposite him, and the actor in Sarathkumar is waiting in anticipation for the box office response. He states that the movie is based on reincarnation and he plays the role of a psychiatrist. “This movie’s result will decide my next course of action in accepting similar movies,” Sharath notes.

Up next is 1977, which the actor claims to be an action adventure film on par with Casino Royale. Besides, he is also a part of the Malayalam movie Pazhassiraja with Mammootty in the lead and an untitled Selvaraghavan movie that hits the floors in December 2008.

Before signing off, Sarathkumar clarifies that Vaitheeswaran’s dialogues are not influenced with his political stand and he treats politics and cinema differently.

Stars galore in Kuselan

Groundwork has begun for the upcoming superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kuselan and Vasu seems to be on a signing spree for the rest of the cast. Looks like the Rajini – Prabhu combo will continue in Kuselan after the hugely successful Chandramukhi. The duo’s chemistry and impeccable timing in Chandramukhi has come in for widespread acclamation. Prabhu is likely to don the role played by Mukesh for the Malayalam original Katha Parayumbol.

Besides Kuselan, Prabhu has also accepted to play a vital role in Silambarasan’s Silambattam

Siva manasula sakthi' caught in a jam

The maiden production of Vikatan Talkies, 'Siva manasula sakthi' is in trouble.

Writer Jayamohan in his article 'Thopi Thilagam' that appeared on the Internet had mocked both M.G.R. and Sivaji. Vikatan weekly had published this article recently.

In a meeting held on Sunday at Nadigar Sangam, all actors condemned both Jayamohan and Vikatan Publication. They demanded an apology from both with a deadline of one week.

They announced that if the apology was not forthcoming, they will not extend cooperation for their films.
Jayamohan is writing dialogues for the films 'Nan kadavul' and 'Angaditheru' and Vikatan group is producing 'Siva manasula sakthi'.

These three films will have a testing time if they don't tender an apology.

Jessica alba-boy baby

Sources say that actress Jessica Alba and her boyfriend Cash Warren are going to be parents of a bouncing baby boy. Jess was shopping at the very chic Petit Tresor in L.A. (doesn't anybody in Hollywood got to Babies R Us?), where she purchased a set of baby furniture in a nautical theme.

Still not convinced? Maybe they just like boats?

Well, Jessica also picked up a blue Huddy Buddy onesie reading "I'm a Boy" on her way out of the store, so, unless she's messing with us, we're thinking she's definitely got the baby blues.

Neetu chandra-ripped off her pants

Neetu Chandra, who was shooting for Ashwin Dheer’s 123 in Manali, recently ripped off her pants while doing an action scene in the film.

The actress is reluctant to reveal the details of the incident but after much coaxing she finally says, "I play a cop in the film — a Jat inspector who is loud and boisterous in her actions. I have performed a lot of stunts in the film. There was one particular scene in the film where I had to perform some kicks. Since I am a martial arts expert, I was doing this scene with much sincerity. The action director kept asking me to improvise. When I finally performed the kick, the pants that I was wearing were so tight that they ripped. Fortunately for me I was wearing slacks under my pants and it saved me from embarrassment," says Neetu.

The actress continues, "I also had to ‘kick’ Murali Sharma in the scene. When I was rehearsing, I didn’t realise that Murali was standing next to me. I just aimed and performed a kick and it fell heavily on him. Unaware of what was happening, he fell to the ground. Poor man! He was so stunned that he went and rested for two hours before he could act again. I went and apologised to him but he realised that I had not done it deliberately."

This will be Neetu’s third film after Traffic Signal and Garam Masala. The actress is looking forward to great films this year. "I am doing Dibakar Banerjee’s second film Oye Lucky where I play a simple Punjabi girl opposite Abhay Deol. I will be wearing no makeup in the film. Paresh Rawal plays a triple role in the film. Then there’s a Tamil/Hindi bilingual with Madhavan titled Flat No 13-B which is a ghost thriller. The film is being directed by P.C. Sriram, a National Award winner and Rahul Dholakia’s Mumbai-11, which is a realistic story. I am playing a house maid in this film," reveals Neetu.

The actress, who is also a youth icon for the Unicef in Maharashtra ,says that failures don’t trouble her. "I live for today. I learnt the value of life when I was doing Madhur Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal. I met street urchins and spent time with them. I learnt how they live for the moment," says Neetu.
