Ashok Amritraj, is not only a successful Hollywood producer but has also made his presence felt in the Tamil film industry with 'Jeans'. He is currently interested in remaking the Hindi film 'Race' with Ajith Kumar in the lead.
The Hindi original had two brothers played by Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna double-crossing each other which eventually leads to their downfall. Ajith was so impressed with the storyline that he immediately gave the approval to cast him. Not only that, he also evinced interest to perform both the roles.
It can be recalled that Ajith played the roles of brothers in 'Valee' which went on to be the start of the dynamic career that he is having. The other film that he did dual roles (again brothers) was in 'Villain' directed by K. S. Ravikumar. Ajith bagged awards for both 'Valee' directed by S. J. Suryah and 'Villain'.
Is the Tamil remake of 'Race', which is about racing (another passion of Ajith), going to get him similar kind of accolades? Let's wait and see.
The film will commence once Ajith's 'Aegan' is released.

Dhaam Dhoom paves way for Sathyam
Late director Jeeva’s Dhaam Dhoom is ready to hit the screens soon. In fact, Kollywood was abuzz with news that it would see the light of the day on August 15th. But sources now say that the release has been postponed for a couple of weeks. When probed into the reason behind this, we found that Vishal’s Sathyam is touted to be released on August 15th and the Dhaam Dhoom team does not want their film sharing the same platform with it. Those who have seen the film already say that Dhaam Dhoom has come out very well. Even the film’s trailer bears testimony to this fact. It may be recalled that Jeeva succumbed to a massive heart attack while shooting Dhaam Dhoom in Russia. The film was later completed by his wife Aneez, associate Manikandan and guru P.C. Sreeram.
