Anna Sergeyevna Kournikova (Russian: Анна Сергеевна Курникова ), Anna Sergeevna Kurnikova; born June 7, 1981) is a retired Russian professional tennis player and model. Although she never won a singles tournament, her celebrity made her one of the best known tennis players worldwide. At the peak of her fame, fans looking for images of Kournikova made her name (or misspellings of it) one of the most common search strings on Google.

She was born in Moscow in the former Soviet Union to Alla and Sergei Kournikov; she and her mother later emigrated to the United States. Currently, she resides in Miami Beach, Florida.Kournikova's major-league tennis career has been curtailed for the past several years, and possibly ended, by serious back and spinal problems. She has had some success at the singles game, but her specialty has been doubles, where she has at times been the world's No.1 doubles player. With Martina Hingis as her partner, she won Grand Slam titles in Australia in 1999 and 2002.

Kournikova's playing style fits the profile for a doubles player, and is complemented by her height. She has been compared to such players as Pam Shriver and Peter Fleming.

Robot’s script back on track

Robot, the much hyped project of Shankar had a great blow with the sudden demise of its script writer Sujatha. As Sujatha was associated with the project from its early stage of inception, it was difficult to find a suitable replacement. Now the team has found the perfect replacement in Balakumaran who has a special place in Tamil literary field. His creations have always touched the chords of many Tamilians all over the world. He has a rich experience of having worked with Shankar in his earlier films like Kadhalan and Gentleman. Secondly he had written the dialogues for Rajini’s Badshah too and had impressed him. So, with the inclusion of Balakumaran in Robot, the film is getting ready in all aspects.

Dasavatharam with Kuruvi!

Kuruvi, the Vijay and Trisha starrer would be released this weekend and the film is a much anticpated one especially among Vijay fans. Vijay's screen name is Vetrivel while Trisha will be Devi. Kuruvi, just like Ghilli will have a fast paced chasing scene which is expected to ignite the screen.If you are watching KURUVI this weekend in any of the US locations, you will have the pleasure of watching the trailer of Kamal's DASAVATHARAM too. It should be a very good experience with two different starts and style to appear together at the same screening. KURUVI has high expectations and DASAVATHARAM trailer has impressed every one, which has increased expectation of the movie further. Mean while hardcore Vijay fans in US are gearing up to drive to the nearest metro city in US like Bay Area, Chicago, Boston or New Jersey to see their super hero in big screen!
