Vijay Trisha starrer ‘Kuruvi’ is shaping up fast and steady. But the entire unit seems to be tight-lipped about the story of ‘Kuruvi’. Recently the shooting for a scene from this flick was shot at T.R. garden.

After returning to Chennai, the cast and crew of ‘Kuruvi’ had started shooting in T.R. garden for almost a week. The scenes involving Vijay and Trisha were shot at this venue. There was a grand set erected. Usually these kind of elaborate sets are put up for song sequences but this one in particular was not meant for a song. On the contrary, it is just for some dialogue sequence, says the grapevine.

True to its name, the team of Kuruvi (a bird) is again flying back to Malaysia towards the end of this month.

Amidst all this hustle and buzzle happening around ‘Kuruvi’, rumors are running rife on Vijay’s next. It is almost certain that Vijay’s movie under the banner of AVM would be directed by Hari. There are rumours saying that Nayantara would play the lead girl.Vijay’s forthcoming film Kuruvi is already making waves. Despite the not-so-great response to his Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, Vijay continues to be popular among distributors.

This has been proved by the fact that a Kerala distributor has obtained the Kerala rights of Kuruvi for Rs. 1.5 crores. The distributor is Mahi, who has previously produced and distributed two big films starring Suresh Gopi and Dileep in Malayalam.

Vijay’s films are hot in Kerala right from his Thullatha Manamum Thullum, which set a record in Kerala. Pokkiri, released last year, collected more than the films of Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty that were released around the same time. Even his Azhagiya Thamizh Magan did above-average business in Kerala.

Kuruvi brings together the Ghilli team of Vijay, Trisha, director Dharani and composer Vidyasagar. The film is one of 2008’s most awaited films, thanks to the Ghilli success. The film, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin, is expected to hit theatres by May.
