The remake juggernaut is relentless in Kollywood these days. Now, the Bollywood blockbuster Jab We Met is to be remade in Tamil with Dhanush and Shriya in the lead; Moser Baer is taking the necessary initiatives in this regard. The original version, with Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor in the lead, turned out to be an instant hit. Jab We Met had all the elements that make a successful commercial cinema which appeals to all generations; youngsters had a ball in the theatres while watching this film.Initially, Trisha was supposed to be the female lead in the Tamil version, but owing to her extremely busy schedules in two Telugu movies and Sarvam (directed by Vishnuvardhan) in Tamil, the role went to Shriya Saran.
Interestingly, Shriya and Dhanush are teaming up again after Thiruvilayadal Aarambam, which was a big success.
