So, that’s why Kamal’s daughter, Shruti Haasan, backed out of the Madhavan movie – she’s debuting in a Bollywood movie with Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran Khan. Titled Luck, its directed by Soham Shah who made Kaal. According to some Mumbai tabloids the director met her in Chennai and she liked the script but before signing on made sure her father gave the go-ahead. Tamil movie fans are going to be disappointed that Kamal’s daughter passed over a Tamil movie for a Hindi one.
Luck will also star Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakraborthy. Shruti will be in a lot of action scenes. The director has said, “We wanted to cast a new girl opposite Imran and Shruthi seemed perfect for the role. We required a girl who would look innocent as well as convincing while doing the action sequences.” Action director Allan Amin will tutor Shruti. Shooting is said to start in South Africa around June 8th. The music will be scored by none other than the composer of Chak De – Salim Suleiman. Let’s hope Shruti Haasan will not abandon Tamil for Hindi.
